Assuring adequate quality at all stages of drug development, production, and circulation is a top priority for all parties involved in the pharmaceutical industry. This is the reason why practice-oriented education for future specialists in this area is a valuable industry development tool. Involvement of leading pharmaceutical manufacturers and pharmaceutical professionals in the learning process helps young specialists acquire applicative knowledge.

Akrikhin is an expert in the area of quality assurance and good practices, and applies the most advanced approaches in its activities, and passes Russian and foreign quality audits successfully on a regular basis. This allows the company to share its experience with students and graduates and contribute to their professional development.

On April 21, 2022, on the official closing day of GxP Fest festival, Faiza Yagudina, Quality Director at Akrikhin, took the floor at the plenary session to cover the current challenges associated with the training of future specialists from the standpoint of Akrikhin’s practice.

As far as the programme for undergraduate and graduate students is concerned, Ekaterina Kolosova, Lead HR Specialist, spoke about Akrikhin and career launch opportunities for young specialists.

We are always eager to welcome a young specialist in our team; however, we never know what kind of knowledge, competencies, and skills this specialist will have after graduating from the university. This is the reason why we would develop an individual internship programme for such specialists to adapt and develop their hard skills and soft skills. We evaluate and supervise the training stages closely. In the end, we hope to acquire and bring up a pharmaceutical production specialist with a good balance of professional and personal competencies required for further growth and development both of the young specialist and of our company

, said Faiza Yagudina, Quality Director at Akrikhin, as she commented on her participation in the festival.

The development programme for young specialists is an essential area of cooperation between the pharmaceutical industry and educational institutions. To date, the present-day educational system has not overcome a certain gap between employers’ needs and graduates’ actual qualifications.
Events similar to GxP Fest make it possible to explore the situation in detail and provide young specialists with opportunities for self-fulfilment and acquisition of practical experience.
The internship programmes for students and graduates implemented by Akrikhin are based on many years of our executives and mentors’ experience and their high-level expertise. These programmes allow the younger generation to acquire invaluable practical skills and transform theoretical training into extensive professional expertise

, said Ekaterina Kolosova, Lead HR Specialist at Akrikhin.
