Akrikhin participated in the annual Convention of Paediatricians of Russia that was held under the title “Actual Problems of Paediatrics”.
In 2022, the Convention of Paediatricians of Russia was held in Moscow on 5-7 March. The hybrid format enabled over 12,360 healthcare professionals and experts from various areas to attend the event. The convention brought together not only local, but also international experts, and organisation thereof was also supported by the International Paediatric Association (IPA), the European Paediatric Association (EPA/UNEPSA) and the American Academy of Paediatrics (AAP).
The scope of the Convention covered:
- Primary health care for children: issues and solutions,
- Scientific and practical aspects of the development of paediatrics,
- COVID-19 and children,
- Social paediatrics,
- Nutrition for healthy and sick children,
- Preventive vaccination in paediatrics, family vaccination,
- Topical issues of paediatric dermatology, paediatric surgery and traumatology and orthopaedics, paediatric allergology and immunology,
- Socially significant diseases in paediatric practice. Problems of childhood disability,
- Rare diseases.
This year, with the support of Akrikhin, the Convention included a symposium titled “Vitamin D: Modern Clinical Applications”. Under the chairmanship of Prof. Leyla Namazova-Baranova, MD, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, experts were able to discuss strategies for the treatment of vitamin D deficiency in children and adolescents.
Akrikhin’s booth decorated using the eye-catching concept of a “city of happy childhood” exhibited major paediatric brands of the portfolio, such as Aquadetrim, Komfoderm, Normobact L, and the Convention participants were able to ask the company representatives questions about the drugs.
For many years, Akrikhin has been actively cooperating with the Union of Paediatricians of Russia. The company engages leading federal medical experts in the project of a scientific school for paediatricians, and also assists the work of the Union in developing a national program of the Russian Federation on vitamin D deficiency in children and adolescents.
